THE AARI MISSION

AARI provides support and information helpful to the needs of American radiologists of Indian origin and to function as a venue for charitable, educational and cultural activities that allow members to share common ideas and discuss mutual concerns. This website is here to provide all of us with news and information to keep us informed and to stay in touch.

Greetings from AARI

Dear AARI members,
As we are well aware, these are difficult economic times and all of us are under the gun to produce more, work smarter, and generally be increasingly more productive. This has made all of us busier with simply trying to keep our heads above water. As an excolleague of mine put it, “we’re grateful to simply have a job”. And that about sums it all up.

Given all our other obligations, it is no wonder that most of us don’t have the time or energy to devote to a small, niche organization like ours, and to make interaction easier and simpler, we have completely redesigned our website. After all, our presence, apart from our annual dinner at RSNA is mainly online and therefore the impetus to upgrade and redesign the website.

If you are reading this, the new website is up! Take a look around at the many new features, and you will be pleasantly surprised. Apart from the expected features such as the ability to accept payment for memberships (only one category of membership; $250 for life membership up to December 31st after which is will likely go up), there will be a blog feature as well. In addition to this we will be adding exciting new features, so watch this space for details.

Have a great RSNA and we hope to see you in Chicago.

Sridhar Shankar, President
